Abstract
The Barbie Movie, Greta Gerwig's exploration of Mattel's iconic doll, has proven to be a symbol of feminism and empowerment, despite the sexualised consumerist aspects of the film. Barbie (2023) unfolds a seemingly simple story woven with a tapestry of feminist discourse, historical reflections, socio-political commentary, an exploration of women's roles, and societal critique.
