Abstract
Over the years, I have engaged in numerous conversations with young painters about art, ecology, and what it means to be sustainable in their practices. These conversations often brim with anxiety or ignorance. Identifying oneself with the buzzword "sustainability" comes with the expectation of a perfect zero-waste process. It is simply too much pressure, which leads to avoiding the subject altogether. Could this be the reason for the lack of representation of paintings in major ecological exhibitions?
