Creative alchemy: exploring the interface between experience and expression

In the course of this thesis, I will discuss my creative process in relation to a handful of artists whose work has influenced mine, and who have been integral in shaping my thinking and creative direction. These artists are just a few who I believe have navigated the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual territories of life with skill and intention. How their own experiences in life have influenced their art by infusing their creative expression with depth and substance, alchemising their inner experience into a visual language of their own to derive meaning, order, and beauty from the chaos of life.
